If you’re looking for something to do after or before your July 4th cookout, stop by Richbrau brewing in the Shockoe bottom area today for their grand opening. They’ll have 5-6 drafts & mixed 4packs of 16oz cans to go. Make sure you try the sours, especially the strawberry. Although I’m not employed by Richbrau, I do know the owners personally & they are good guys. I know there are tons of breweries in RVA but I’d encourage you to give them a try sometime soon.
Hoping to check them out next weekend. I was glad to see they offered up the mixed 4pk of their cans so plan to grab those. Their pour prices seemed a little steep so hopefully the beer is worthy of what's being charged in house. The can cost is more in line with what I would expect.
Anyone happen to make it to check Richbrau out since opening last weekend and have thoughts on the beers? Still deciding if I want to head the hour + to check them out this weekend as well as what to try if I do. I'm thinking of grabbing a mixed 4 pack then trying the two non canned beers on draft if they still have the same 6 as was available at opening. From reading posts in local groups as well as Untappd ratings it seems as though all their beers so far have received positive reviews for the most part.
I won't comment on the beers as I am personally biased but yeah, they have mostly received positive/encouraging reviews so far. Right now they have all six original beers on, however the stout is getting low. Might be a new draft ipa on sometime over the weekend also. Plenty of mixed 4pks left.
Forgot to circle back around to this after checking them out a few weeks back. I definitely left very impressed with all of their beers. Space is pretty cool too. I tried 2 on draft that were not canned and then took a mixed 4pk with me and honestly not even a sub par beer was had. All were very good to excellent IMO.
