I need help please! I’ve done all the breweries in Richmond a couple of different times now, but I made a tactile error this time! I scheduled my flight for 5:30 and that won’t give me any time to stop anywhere as about every place opens at 4 PM. I will be in town from about 1 PM till my flight leaves. If you had that time frame, what are your best places to get a local beer on tap? Mekong? Anything close or on the way to the airport? TIA and Cheers!
Final Gravity opens before 4 but its not exactly close to the airport so it could be tight. I'd just go to Mekong, you can eat and get a few great beers and it opens with plenty of time.
Right, I guess I should have been more specific, neither is close to the airport (30-ish mins?) but FG opens most weekdays days at 2, while Mekong is open earlier which leaves additional time.
is this today or another day? I would also go with FG. When they opened at 10am and I had early flights I would stop by right at opening, have a couple beers, be out the door by 10:30/10:45 and easily make my Noon / 12:30 flights. Probably the best quality beers IMO of the breweries that would be open in the timeframe you are looking at. Of course if your flight is at 5:30 you wold want to account to afternoon traffic from wharever you end up going to the airport. Visually on a map and mileage wise they are closer but time to drive would be comparable you could hit up Legend, Champion RVA or Strangeways since they open up around lunch. Other than that you've got Stone or Canon & Drawn that opens up at 2. **My recs above are based on if you are looking to early openings for today**
