    Could be. I'll check it out and let you know. Later.. It's one and the same basically following modern US 250. No mention of George Washington, but of a Jack Jouett who alerted the Virginia legislature, that had repaired to Charlottesville, that Banastre Tarleton was on his way to capture the Virginia politicians. He rode on what was then called both Three Chopt and Three Notched Road.

    apparently they are the same road.
    here in RVA Three Chopt is the road name while Three Notch'd usually refers to places
