All of a sudden Richmond is becoming quite the brew-hub. I'm just gonna have to make more day trips.

The more breweries the better at this point in our beer scene growth. Thus far we have a whole lot of mediocrity going on with a few standouts, so I hope VA can start stepping its game up.

Strangeways? Will they be brewing Boddington's?

While I've never been to Farmer's Cabinet, they seem to have no problem letting go of talented brewers.

I was trying to find some info about their beers today. I met 1 of their brewers during Philly Beer Week. He was a really chill, friendly, and knowledgeable dude. I was at Monk's Cafe looking to broaden my sour tastes. He happened to be their sour specialist if you want to call it that. I shared some of my Cantillon with him that I ordered. Great dude. Looking forward to having some of their stuff in the future.

    Strangeways Brewing's Tasting Room Introduces:
    A COMPENDIUM OF CURIOSITIES

EACH WEDNESDAY (starting tomorrow June the 19th) we plan on tapping special selections of NEW draft beers. These drafts are in small quantities, and will be available at the brewery tasting room only (while supplies last). Tappings will occur at 4:00 pm. We apologize, but no growler fills on CURIOSITIES Beers.

This Week, CURIOSITIES Come in Threes:

    I. BERRY MERITAGE WALLONIAN DAWN HONEY SAISON: Note the black and red currants for fruitiness and tang, the hibiscus for tartness, rose hip chips for smoothness and raisins for a natural sweetness

II. MALLORCA MELON ALBINO MONKEY WHITE ALE: A delicious blend of Spanish cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, hibiscus, and Seville orange for a sweet and tangy infusion

III. CARAMEL DREAM WOODBOOGER BELGIAN BROWN ALE: Caramel and Madagascar vanilla to give a sweet note to this earthy blend

went last week with the release of the 3 variant/curiosities. nice place and will visit again after some more brews are in place.
while I personally prefer the originals to the curiosities it at least shows a willingness to be "Strange"...
