Got to stop in toward the end of the day yesterday with Mom. I really enjoyed Rickey. A bit of funk on the nose, and I thought the sweet/tart/sour flavors blended very nicely. I've never had the soda that served as an inspiration, but I totally get the appeal of the cherry/lime flavor combo. I'll have to do a little more investigating to see if I can find the juniper.

    Good work as usual.

This was definitely a beer that people either loved or hated, I personally loved it.

Brooklynites rejoice. Supposedly one Rickey keg still around... Nostrand Ave Pub + Carton mini-takeover on July 2nd should have some if you missed out.

This was the first beer I tasted at the Lower Hudson Craft Beer Festival last weekend up in Rockland County -- I didn't really expect to like it, but have liked all the Carton stuff I tried in the past and wanted to try anything local that sounded interesting. I was very pleasantly surprised and would drink it again -- I'd describe it more as tart than really sour though.

We still have a bit left here at The Tap Room, like Augie said-some people LOVE it and others not so much.Either way, much props to Carton for going out and doing different things.Thats what makes them one of the better beer places in New Jersey!
