I was browsing in a liquor store last week and saw a couple of bombers of Ride the Lion. On a whim, I bought one without really knowing anything about it. (Hopefully, it ages well since I now see this was a 2014 release ... I haven't opened it yet.)

BA lists the beer as brewed once, and the Clown Shoes web site lists the beer under "retired" beers, but it also says "Ride the Lion is currently in production."

So, my question, is it a brewed once & now retired beer, or is it currently in production (perhaps now aging in barrels for another release)?

    Anyone know?

So far, Ride the Lion has only been released the one time. Since Ride the Lion is really just a BA version of Royal Standard, I would think that having it listed as "in production" on the website just means that they are open to/planning on bottling it again sometime in the future.

Either way, it's a great beer. There's not a BA beer from Clown Shoes that I wouldn't recommend.

Maybe @ClownShoesDreams has some additional information on the future of RtL?

This one will be back, but probably not until 2017...

This is a great example of the benefit the entire beer community, from consumers to brewers and bottle retailers, gets from this site. Cheers to the excellent discussion...and buy every last bottle, OP!

Really wish Clown Shoes branding and beer lists weren't so confusing. I can never keep track of what they have, what's out and what I've had because of the names and labels :Z
