    Apologies if this thread has been created. If it gets too popular we can switch to monthly. This news is very exciting. Per their face book page this morning...

    Exciting Riip Beer News: We had our Zoning Administration meeting yesterday at City Hall and we were Approved to move forward on our expansion!!! This means a brand new 10 Barrel Brewhouse on PCH with an expanded Tap Room and two nice sized outdoor patios to drink on. To top it off we get a call that our brew system from @ssbrewtech is sitting at the Long Beach port and was being loaded to a truck to be dropped off. All of this a day prior to the team taking off to the Great American Beer Festival for some beer shenanigans. We entered 5 of our beers. Hopefully we win some awards. Feeling some positive vibes right now. #Deliveredat420PMIPA #RiipBeer #Gabf #SSBrewTech

    Great to hear this, they're great people and making some great stuff. That taproom isn't the most central place if you're not living in the area, but for those of us that are it's going to be a sweet place to visit.

    Riip is the shit, this is great news as i live walking distance. Thanks for starting this thread, and not letting dcguns take them all :wink:

    They nailed it at GABF ... Silver for Super Cali IPA in the competitive American IPA category ... CONGRATS!

    Riip is really close to me but I've only been once. I know this may sound petty, but the lights were bright white fluorescents that would be more at home in a laboratory than a brew pub.

    Has this changed?

    Nope, was there one Friday night. Just wear your sunglasses at night and you should be fine...

    More than half the time they turn off half the lights and turn on some of the lamps they have along the wall.

    You should go on Thursdays as they have free pretzels from brewbakers as well as spent grain bread. Mustard and butter available, but grabbing some hummus from secret spot is way to go imo.

    Secret spot is good but the Golden Olive right next door has the best hummus and fresh peta bread
