    All this talk on pizza and pizza joints is making me hungry.
    Looks like pizza and Black the Riipper for lunch on mlk day.

    Ian McCall, after 5 years of head brewer and leading RiiP (Huntington Beach) is departing and will be opening his own brewery. Just heard the sad & good news. I hope he is staying local to HB or at least in the OC. Again, in these times it’s hard to start up a new brewery and be successful in this business. Ian is one of OC’s finest brewers. I’m sure he has a great plan for his new venture.

    I wentto RiiP today and had a Detroit Style Pizza and wings

    the pizza was....pizza , but man the wings were great:joy: If i weren't starving i wouldn't have ordered wings but glad i did.
    Also had their red ale , american stout, Imperial stout, rice lager and an ipa . all were above average. would bang again

    I prefer their thin sourdough crust pizza over the thicker Detroit sourdough pizza. They had a $50 Fathers Day special, 18’ pizza (any), wings (any) & pitcher of beer (any). It was packed just after opening. Their salads and sandwiches are very good as well. I prefer RiiPs pizza over Beachwoods. Both are sourdoughs and good.

    Both RiiP locations. There's an NPBC tap takeover at Riip Pizzeria today as well.

    No word. He’s keeping it quiet for now. I’m hoping it’ll be local.

    I’ve called, messaged their IG, and left a comment on their IG page. No reply yet. I guess business is good. I’ll try calling off hours. Worse case I’ll go for the first time and have some good pizza and beer. If they have riip fu it will make it much better though

    thanks. There is a little bottle shop that gets north park and RIIP regularly. They usually post it on Instagram. I’ll keep my eye out. Thanks again.

    Just a head's up for those looking for Riip-Fu, I was at the Pizzeria about two hours ago and there were still plenty of the NPBC collab in the fridge. I'm not sure how much longer that will last but I'd imagine they'll be gone by the end of the week.

    Made it to riip and it was worth the 40 min drive. They have riip-fu cans and on draft. It’s as good as I hoped. Plus, their pizza is really good. $6 a slice and it’s basically two slices. My only knock is the jalapeños don’t have any heat but otherwise So good.

    Good to know you made it to RiiP Pizzaria. Next time you make it up this way let me know. I’ll stop by. If you like their pizza then you might want to check out Beachwood Pizza. They are a block from me. Just as good with some good west coast IPA’s

    I’m a big fan of beachwood. Usually if I were to drive up for beachwood it would be for their bbq and beers but since they no longer do bbq I’ll have to check out their pizza. It was nice being able to order a slice of any pizza without having to buy a whole pizza, at riip, and for $6 that’s a steal.
