Damn. Missed this one. Vanilla Storm is really good.

Any chance any bottles will be available at the North Park tasting room?

 

I was a little surprised but it's got vanilla and only 450 bottles were available, so that definitely contributed. Rip Current's first two BA offerings have been great, so I can only imagine this one will be delicious. I bought 3 bottles but I'll probably regret not buying more.

 

BA adjunct stouts/porters are all the rage.

 

There are 250 more bottles available. (

They posted that both locations will have 125 bottles each for sale .

Bought two bottles. Might head over after work to try it on draft.

 

Had it last night while doing a quick IP trade. Insta-regret that I thought bottles would stay available. Should have known when BA and vanilla are in the name.

Off draft, obviously too cold and a little barrel heavy for my liking. Warmed it up and the vanilla began to shine on through with still barrel character but it married very well together.

Surprisingly, even though it spent I think 6 more months in barrels it was not as hot out of the gate as say BA Black Lagoon was.

If you got bottles lucky you, but you should probably have gotten a couple more. If you missed out, well we can go to the brewery and silently sob into a few tasters of it together and reminisce of the old days where special release beer was easier to obtain.

 

Still a chance to pick up a few bottles on Nov 6th in the tasting rooms. Just kidding no there's not don't go there that day for any reason. MINE MINE MINE.

 

Did so on Thursday and it's gooooood.

 

Picked up my bottle on Friday and enjoyed a taster. Man was it good. Wonder what they have coming out next. Would love to see Black Lagoon in scotch barrels because when they aged Black Lagoon on scotch chips for their 1st Anniversary party it was amazing.

Lupulin Lust in cans should be out before Christmas.

 

Haven't heard much since the release. I know some bottles are available, but not sure if they will be around by the time I'm there at the end of the month.

Thoughts or reviews from locals?

 

Bottles might be gone by now. BA Vanilla Storm is awesome if you like barrel forward BA beers.

 

Still a few bottles left as of last night. Whether they last til the end of the month is another story though.

 

A buddy was kind enough to grab me a bottle and did the handoff yesterday at Alesmith. Had much regret when I skipped the sale and then tried it on draft...silly me.

 

Better than their previous BA offerings?

I suppose the hefty price tag might be the reason it's not sold out.

 

I like it better. It spent the most time in barrels compared to their other offerings and was the least barrel character of the three. Yes there is still barrel but it wasn't overpowering right out of the gate.

 

BA Black Lagoon > BA Vanilla Storm > BA Rescue Buoy

BABL is/was god tier.

 

I need to revisit BA Black Lagoon. Think I got 1 bottle left.
