Unfortunately I have been out of town, I hope they are gonna have beer left.

Is Rip Current on tap anywhere downtown/in the Gaslamp quarter? I'd like to try them out when I visit in early Feb, but won't be able to head that far north of the city.

Their local accounts list on their web page is blank. Tap Hunter comes up empty. By February, I'm sure they'll be a few places on occasion, but it's hard to say where.

Did anyone try the apricot saison? That sounds delicious.

It was good but it was done on the Double Overhead pilot system (small batch) and there was next to none left when I left on Sunday night.

We just opened this past weekend, so no outside draft accounts yet. We do plan to be available in better craft beer bars. Once we are, our "local accounts" page on our website will reflect where you can find us (currently blank as besaunders mentioned above) http://ripcurrentbrewing.com/local-accounts/

I'll report back on the Apricot Saison in a bit.

    Cheers!

Any chance of any being available this Saturday? Or, the brown ale at least? Obviously can't be brewed in a week, just wondering/hoping if any is already in a fermentor, and might be ready by then.

The brown will be on for sure, as will the IIPA and a dry hopped Pale. There is more Apricot Saison, however right now I'm not sure which small batch will be rotating on what day.

Thanks, still sounds good, love me some brown ale, and the description sounds right up my alley. I'll stop in, me and about 6+ others. See you Saturday.

Your review of the DIPA has me excited to try it.

Congrats on the opening Chris (and Paul)! I'll stop by the next time I'm in San Diego. If I had realized you guys were already open, I would have gone Saturday after Strong Ale.

Haha, a very strong resemblance. There is a little too much human interaction going on there. Need more face buried in beer/phone/notebook and less looking like there might be a conversation.

    Apricot Saison still on tap?

Nope. They had an imperial red that kicked yesterday evening and then put on a coffee and vanilla imperial porter to go along with their pale, brown, and DIPA.

The Paddling Out Pale Ale is terrific.

The nose on the Red Flag Double IPA is ridiculous (in the best possible way), and it has a phenomenal hop bite.

The Barrier Reef Nut Brown has a coffee-like nose and a flavor that gets nuttier as it warms.

And the San Onofre Saison (a dark example of the style) is fruity and spicy and I wish it were drier. But that's only a quibble. These are all top-notch beers.

Made it out there on Friday Night to a packed house...highly enjoyed the Vanilla Storm and Barrier Reef Nut Brown.

I was there right at noon on Sat. the Double IPA and Vanilla Storm were both excellent.
I would have gotten a growler of the DIPA if it weren't for the $20 stainless steel and CA's stupid growler law.

I heard one of the bartenders mention that if every brewery just made growler stickers, they could label blank ones like that.
Please do it, I'll bring my blank growlers and get them filled next time I am down. I am on a strict growler buying hiatus until the law gets fixed.
