Every Darkness Day I've been to I've always seen Nick pouring beers and chatting everyone up. He was a great supporter of MN beer and a fixture at Surly. I will miss seeing him at the brewery! At least he was able to see the new brewery and Omar's dreams realized. From a Surly email... http://campaign.r20.constantcontact...557ea&ch=ce2ca840-3345-11e3-9b08-d4ae527557ea
So sad when a parent dies you remember the great times and you cherish his life i will toast Omar and my condolences to him and his family
I remember seeing an early video of Nick and you could tell even then, just how proud he was with what had happened with Surly up to that point. I am glad that he at least was around for the opening of the new brewery.
I've seen him, several years now, picking up trash the morning of Darkness day. Often with people around him totally oblivious to his "role" in Surly. I'm sad to hear of his passing, and all of Surly, especially Omar, has my condolences.
Ah thats terrible news. The first tour I ever had at the brewery was with Nick and Omar. Condolences to the family.
