My apologies if this has been mentioned already, but I just got this email from SN...

Those lucky enough to live in the 10 states highlighted can get Summerfest shipped to them. Alas, I don’t live in one of those states, or I certainly would have ordered a 12-pack.

 

Basically, same news as post #565 -- sort of stirring the pot again here.

And SierraTerence had reported this was planned some months ago.

 

So this has me thinking of what amount of annual purchase of one beer makes you a good customer?

Is it a 6 pack, a case? multiple cases?

 

30 years' support?

42 beers reviewed and rated at BA?

 

$21.98/12 + shipping is steep in my opinion. Buy $75 worth and get free shipping though. Just can’t get $75 of Summerfest. Limit = 2 12 packs.

 

Sweet. I'm good for a case as long as shipping isn't more than $25 tops. $1 a can seems reasonable for what likely will be my last encounter with this brew.

 

Math is far from my strong point, but wouldn't $1 a can equal $12 for a 12-pack? Not $22?

Plus shipping.

This is an underappreciated question. I loved their stout, but really bought maybe 2 cases a year. I was a fan of their porter and bought maybe 36 bottles a year. I buy and drink lots of other beer too. Do they "owe" me anything for those purchases? If some critical mass of drinkers aren't buying at a similar level what does a brewery like SN do? I'm guessing that one fermenter of any beer at their brewery produces thousands of cases, and I won't buy 9 month old beer so....

Sierra Nevada got me again. I added the Bigfoot vertical to get the "free" shipping. I wasn't aware that the vertical set was a 12 pack. That's quite a bargain at $35. $84.69 for a case of Summerfest plus the 12 pack of Bigfoot delivered to my door.
