River North Barrel release

I agree. This beer was a bit of a disappointment for me. Good idea and sounded great but not worth the $14.

 

I had some Unified Theory at the Rackhouse last night...and it was honestly very,very good. Good for those guys for upping their game. My first trip down to RN back in February left me wanting a malt presence in their beers and Unified Theory had that in spades.

 

Thanks for the heads up on the Funkwerks beer. I got my BA J.Marie from Lukas on Monday afternoon, might be worth stopping by if you're in that area to see if any are left. I think they had about 5 or 6 when I was there plus a few of the other non-BA River North beers.

 

Just picked up a few bottles. Good stuff.

 

Just released their 3rd barrel aged beer, Quandary. Had the original Quandary - which I found @Lukas, and thought it was one of least flavorful quads I had, but had to pick up a bottle of this when I heard about on their twitter. Perfect amount of whiskey here, still haven't had the other two releases but might need to.

 

Go back and try the quad. Not very Belgian in style, but flat-out good beer.

 

is quandry around anywhere in denver, i know that argonaut and mr. b dont have it right now.

We should be getting some in this week. I say 'should' b/c I'm not there (in Seattle/Portland getting beer-gitty), so it's up to the owner I'll shoot him an email to remind him

ha, thats funny, when i was there on saturday, and monday, i saw an empty row in those bomber coolers that they have in the back corner and when i asked if they had more they said no.... maybe they just got more?

anyway, thanks for the info, ill have to check again.

 

They definitely got more. All the rows in that cooler were full with the regular versions of RN stuff. The BA versions are on the "limited quantity" self. they had Quandry and J Marie over there

 

Has anyone tried the white wine barrel aged J Marie yet?
