Went on Saturday. Tried a few of the IPAs and was not impressed. They were watery and overall pretty underwhelming. Had their saison (Phanes) and it was ok. I think they'll do well in that area regardless.

the tap room itself is pretty nice. shuffleboard and huge jenga. plenty of room to sit. the IPA's were pretty average. saison and a few others were decent. i've heard their stouts are the way to go. the area definitely needs a shot in the arm so this is a good start

Stopped by on the third of July. They were smart to open when they did, as there was a large street festival going on in downtown Fitchburg. The interior is still a work in progress but gives a bit of a Redbones vibe with all the skeletons, ghouls, etc up on the walls and the very cool LED lanterns.

The Notos saison stuck out as a winner, being crisp and flavorful. I sampled one of the porters - Proteus II (Proteus is their version of Morph/rotating experimental beer series). It was solid, though it wasn't really porter weather in my opinion.

Am here right now. Achilles IPA is pretty nice. Oranos stout is good. Earthy and chocolatey.

Nice spot, big and airy. Look forward to seeing how they refine things in the future.

Stopped in last night...great spot. Excellent use of space. Great games (the suffleboard is an absolute ball-buster)

Great selection of beers and the absolute winner of the night was the Kronos (or C'ronos - not sure on spelling). A spiced stout in the vain of Abraxas or Huna. I think it was similar to Big Bad Baptiste. Some of their IPAs were of the NE variety which were fun to try and an admirable effort (Icarus Rises and Fall of Icarus were both excellent).

Overall a great destination with plenty of parking and some great food truck options (BBQ / Brazilian Food, etc on certain nights).

Scott, the owner, is a very passionate brewer and is very easy to talk to. Helped me set up a party and was very helpful throughout the process.

    Will be back again.

Has anybody visited the taproom recently? Will be going for the first time later today and just curious what to expect from the taproom.

Nice experience last night at River Styx.

The taproom has two distinct areas. There's a decent sized "L" shaped bar and an open area with a few tables to sit down. Their tanks are visible from the parking lot through large plate glass windows and from the bar area.

There are games scattered throughout the taproom. The full sized shuffleboard table was busy the whole time we were there. Baggo boards and the jumbo jenga were well used as well. Kiddos appeared to have plenty of toys to keep them busy too. A couple well behaved dogs were there with other patrons

I had a couple stouts and a porter which were all pretty good. I tried a sip of my wife's DDH Fall of Icarus and though it was a tasty IPA. There was a BBQ food truck outside, but I didn't try any of it

Overall a fun brewery with good beer. A nice spot for anybody in the area. I recommend and will be back.

    Cheers

Ha! I was there last night too. Great spot. Great vibe. Nice to see something nice happen in Fitchburg. I really enjoy their "Hades Helm of Darkness" oatmeal stout.

My favorite beer from them. I think they are nailing their Stouts. The hoppy beers are a work in progress, but their DDH versions are solid.
