Riverlands (2020)

Thanks guys, glad you're digging Dream-Like State! Strata hops are a lot of fun to play around with, and thankfully they're a little easier to get this year so this beer will be back around before too long

 

Prouder Fox is my favorite Riverlands brew so far, I look forward to revisiting it!

 

With these returning beers and the debut of the BA Stout, Saturday is an absolute must stop at Riverlands for the anniversary party

 

wonder if they are going to cancel it. penrose and MORE both just cancelled their anniversary parties/special tappings due to the pandemic. shit is no joke, probably not a great idea to pack a brewery with people right now.

granted its a small business and shuttering for even a few days can have a drastic effect. really tough spot for millions of americans right now.

 

Been thinking about this also. I keep checking in on FB to see if they are planing to reschedule. Was really looking forward to make the drive down on sat tho. If nothing is in flames yet I think I’ll just grab bottles and be on my way which sucks cause I wanted a pour or 2. Big plus on them for selling bottles out of the back of the brewery.

 

Yeah I’m hoping they still do bottle sales at a minimum. To be honest, I’d probably still hang out for a couple hours (though that could change). I wouldn’t blame them for holding off either. I’m not saying anything you don’t already know but with this being an ongoing issue for months, I can’t imagine taprooms being able to close for very long

 

Hey guys, I'm posting the text from our social media here for you guys to see. As of now, the party is on. We're going to take a long, hard look at this tomorrow again and re-access the situation. We'll update as soon as we have a final decision. I'll post here too for those who don't do the whole InstaFace thing

 

" Hey Folks, It's time to grab a beer and have a chat. You've had a lot of questions, and we're right there with you. Here's what we know.

As of RIGHT NOW, we are still planning to hold our Year One Anniversary bottle release and party this Saturday, March 14, at noon, as previously planned.

THAT SAID, we are monitoring the coronavirus situation very closely, and we will make a FINAL CALL TOMORROW by 6pm at the latest regarding the party. Your safety, as well as that of our staff, is our number one concern, and we don't want to take chances with anyone's health.

Here are a few changes we're making to our plans right now, so please read carefully:

- This is now STRICTLY a 21-AND-OVER EVENT. Absolutely no one under 21 will be admitted to the taproom on Saturday. If you need to bring your child for the bottle release, we understand, but they will not be admitted to the taproom. Children are able to contract and carry to virus, and their natural curiosity often results in germs spreading to a variety of places throughout the taproom.

- We are removing all board games, card games, shuffleboard, lawn games, and any other items that could contribute to the spread of infection from the day's activities, as well as the taproom going forward until further notice.

- We are switching to disposable cups for beers being poured outside in our tent, rather than reusable glassware.

- We will be strictly monitoring the number of people at the party at all times to maintain a comfortable space under our occupancy limit.

WHAT WE'RE CURRENTLY DOING
- While we have always upheld the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, we are re-doubling our efforts. You will notice us constantly washing hands, sanitizing all surfaces, restrooms, and high-touch areas hourly throughout the day.

- Monitoring the health of our staff to make sure no one comes to work ill.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP
- DO NOT ATTEND if you are exhibiting signs of fever, cough, fatigue, or if you fall into one or more of the CDC's high risk groups. (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/)

- Maintain a wider personal space than normal while in line and in the taproom.

- Do NOT share beverages with others, inside or outside of the taproom.

- Replace handshakes, hugs, and high-fives with nods, smiles, and kind words.

- Bring your empty glassware to the bar and dispose of garbage in one of our many receptacles to limit the number of touches throughout the day.

We want to reiterate that we are incredibly humbled and grateful for the outpouring of support over the past year. We want to celebrate with you, but we also want to ensure everyone's safety as much as we possibly can.

Great and easy release today you guys! Got there a little before 11 and to my surprise the line was barely 40 deep granted that change by 11:30 but no worries as you guys kept the line moving. Got my bundle and some Blackout and was in the car on my way by 12:10. Cheers and I’m looking forward to another year of your kickass liquids!

Prouder Fox is very good and I think a crowler of the anniversary haze would be a good pickup too. Their new west coaster is very tasty if you’re looking for a break from the haze.

Grabbed some Prouder Fox and Acid Prism Blackout the other day. Both are fantastic.

 

Acid Rainbow Beermosa Crowler picked up yesterday. That beer def lived up to the name. Tart, creamy orange juice

 

I swear I saw Riverlands post on social media that they had a S’mores imperial stout going on sale at 5pm tonight, and now the post is gone. I haven’t even started drinking yet today! Am I going crazy?

Alright, so that campfire stout was GOOD. That's the best s'mores stout I've had in a long time. Personally beats curvature and henna for me

 

When they tweeted out that they were down to the last 10 bottles I finally jumped in and got one. After this review, I’m excited to try this year’s version!
