It’s excellent. Probably the beer stout they have made (BA or otherwise)

I agree. It’s a perfectly executed s’mores stout beer. All the flavors are present. Well done. Glad I grabbed 2 bottles. Three chocolatiers doesn’t stay too far behind. So much dark bittersweet chocolate.

I wish it was a 2 pack instead of a 4 pack. You still recommend picking up?

Really? Would you say it’s better than BA Catch Of The Day? Cause that beer made my best of 2020 list so far.

I recently had a bottle of BA First Catch and it was really good. But yeah I probably enjoyed Campfire Tales slightly more

    Duel can release this Friday

The weekend is hovering on the horizon, so we figured there's no better time to drop two new cans than Friday afternoon. Pre-orders will begin Thursday evening around 7pm for pick-ups starting at 2PM on Friday 5/15. Please note the later pick up start time to allow us enough time to finish canning. We're talking about some EXTREMELY FRESH BEER.

While you're here, grab pizzas from Chuck's Wood Fired Pizza. Simply give him a call to order and let him know your post-2pm pick-up time. 630-803-7963

    :

Shaky Shaky Strawberry Milkshake IPA: we've had this beer on tap before, and due to its popularity, we decided to give it the can treatment. Mosaic hops blend with vanilla, strawberry, and lactose for a berry-forward, smooth sipper that hides the 7.2% under layers of sweetness.

A fresh New England-style IPA featuring Citra, Simcoe, and Apollo hops, Dean Street IPA pay homage to our local St. Charles community and the street we call home. This hazy IPA features flavors and aromas of bright orange citrus, mango, and papaya over a pillow-y soft body by boosting the malted oats. 6.8% ABV.

    Pricing,limits, and distribution TBD.

I personally liked both of the big non-BA stouts they've released recently more than the BA ones. Campfire and Kamoho.

Strawberry Shaky Shaky (Riverlands' fruited milkshake IPA) is excellent. Released side-by-side with Phase Three's more heralded Strawberry Chantilly, I thought this held it's own. Maybe a bit more balanced, I'm not sure this isn't the better beer!

I look forward to more of the Shaky Shaky series hitting distribution in Chicagoland.

I am usually an anti-milkshake guy...I keep trying them, but they're always overly sweet and hard to suffer down with the exception of HB Blazed Orange and Double Blazed. Shaky Shaky blew me away. It's awesome. Strawberry. Milkshake. Beer. Balanced. It might be the best milkshake I've had...considering I like my milkshake ipas to still have beer qualities.

Three Chocolatiers is also pretty good. Reminds me of when, as a kid, you'd dump the whole bottle of Hershey's into your single glass of milk.

And Dean Street IPA? I could make this a regular rotation hazy. I'd grab this over the weekly drops of any other Chicago brewery.

Cousin's new girlfriend also brought over Campfire Tales. It was good for what it was, but wasn't my thing. Definitely leaned heavy on pastry stout sweetness levels.

Riverlands is kind of killing it overall, though. Happy they're hitting a local Binny's now as I could never trek to St. Charles. Top notch stuff.

Opened up a bomber of the Riverlands I Anniversary stout tonight. I gotta say this was incredibly well done! Thick. Huge barrel notes without being boozy. Complex and layered. Really well done barrel aged stout. Hope the next anniversary stout is just as good! I bet that it will be.

Has anyone been to their patio yet? How many tables? I thought I recalled it being first come, first serve?

I was just there today. First come first serve. Lots of tables. I would guess over 20 perhaps? I went on a Thursday at 3 so it was very mellow. Bring sunscreen or a hat/shades on a sunny day

We've got 20 tables that can sit a group of 6 each. The outdoor space is a work in progress for sure, just a fenced in grassy area. We wanted to have somewhere people could sit so we threw it together as fast as we could once the restrictions were loosened while still keeping customer safety in mind. We have umbrellas ordered for the tables, and are working to spruce the place up as much as we can.

One day, we'll have a for real patio, but we're glad we could at least do this in the meantime!

Yeah, getting proud. They're good, but I already don't make it that way to Saint Chuck too often. Higher price tag just makes it even less likely. Shame, as they're doing some pretty good stuff. But hey, everyone's gotta make a buck to eat.
