If there's one thing that makes me regret not being home for the summer, it's a new Riverlands stout :pensive:

    Isn't Riverlands a downstate brewery?

Not unless St. Charles is considered downstate. The traffic I have to deal with getting there from Carol Stream suggests otherwise...

Its west of the fox river ... definitely downstate. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It’s the reverse Gatsby/Egg situation here: west of the river is clearly more fashionable

Ugh, can we just move this thread to the Pacific forum and be done with it?

Curious to hear what people think of the Fisherman’s stout. Grabbing my bottle tomorrow. I recently had BA Kamoho and it was so....nevermind I don’t want to hurt @PhilBallins feelings

I would say better than that first keg. Every flavor amplified here! Riverlands definitely seems to keep improving on what they have done in the past. That BA Kamoho, damn I wish I had more of it!! But if I was a betting man I’m sure there’s probably a BA Fisherman’s Breakfast down the line somewhere.

Yup! I was talking to one of the bartenders a few weeks ago and he said they were aiming to release it at the end of May.

You are correct! From the FB post:

Set up camp inside or in the beer garden this Saturday, 6/5, for our bottle release and tapping of Barrel-Aged Campfire Tales Imperial Stout.
Aged 12 months in Heaven Hill and Four Roses barrels, our thick and rich base stout was then conditioned on real graham crackers, toasted marshmallow, cacao nibs, and vanilla to reproduce everyone's favorite campfire treat, the s'more. And at 14% ABV, it's a perfect beer for sharing by the fire.
ONLINE PRE-ORDERS BEGIN FRIDAY, 6/4, AT NOON at bit.ly/riverlands.
You'll have a couple of options:
    1) Single bottles available at $25 ALL TAXES INCLUDED per 22oz bomber, LIMIT 2.
    2) Basecamp Bundles include one 22oz bottle, two new Campfire Tales ceramic mugs, and two hand-dipped s'mores treats from our friends at Graham's Fine Chocolates in Geneva! $55 ALL TAXES INCLUDED, LIMIT TWO BUNDLES PER ORDER, max two bottles total.
Yes, you CAN pre-order a bundle and ONE bottle, for a total limit of TWO BOTTLES PER ORDER.
Pick-ups begin Saturday at noon, but you have until Sunday, June 13 to pick up your order. Use the EDIT button during checkout to change your pick up date and time.

How's that Googly? Cool to see someone reviving barleywine in 2nd use barrels. Wish it was straight up though. Haven't been a huge fan of cocktail inspired beers. Otherwise I might be seeking a proxy if that's allowed...
