road trip... hitting all the breweries

    Even with American Brew, they did 38 breweries in 40 days, and you could tell they were stressed by the end. The idea of the great brewery roadtrip is good. The logistics of the trip make it a bit messy.

    I hope the OP has a DD for this trip, otherwise, he may not get to see that many breweries from a cell.

    There are roughly 75 within an hour of Denver, although at least 10 of 'em are "chain" type spots like Rock Bottom, Ram, BJ's, etc.
    Still, hitting all of the unique spots would take a lot of work. The BA guys did a pretty admirable job over 3 days, though.

    San Francisco - Speakeasy Ales
    San Francisco - 21st Amendment
    Marin - Marin Brewing Company
    Marin - Iron Springs Brewing
    Marin - Moylan's Brewing
    Sonoma - Lagunitas Brewing
    Sonoma - Third Street Aleworks
    Sonoma - Moonlight Brewing (Flavor in Santa Rosa)
    Sonoma - Russian River Brewing
    Sonoma - Bear Republic Brewing
    Mendocino - Anderson Valley Brewing
    Mendocino - North Coast Brewing

    Total distance is about 200 miles, due north on 101 (until Mendo). You would not regret it!
