Moving from Boston, MA to the Detroit area. We will be driving via 90 through NY, PA and OH. We are looking to stop at a few breweries along the way to grab a pour and/or cans. Looking for more hidden gems or up and coming places. We already have on the list of possibilities some of the well known breweries: Treehouse, Other Half, Mortalis, Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!

My best recommendation along that route would be to stop at Fat Head's at their North Olmsted location which is a mile or so south off I-90. After the stop you can hop onto I-80 (Ohio Turnpike toll road) close by which joins up with I-90 about 20 miles west of there. It's then a tollway until Toledo where you'll go north to Detroit.

Stop at the Michigan Welcome Center after crossing the border and pick up a Michigan Brewers Guild brewery guide. It's usually in the winery brochure rack. If you're going to be living in the Detroit area you'll have plenty of time to check out the breweries close to where you live.

You could fill your vehicle with Tree House and have no problem unloading it all in Michigan.

Thanks for the recommendation. I was in the Cleveland area a few years ago and stopped by Fat Head amongst a few others. I enjoyed the visit and have them down as a possible stop.
