My wife and I are driving out to Lawrence, KS from Ohio in the middle of this December, and we were hoping to hit some good beer spots along the way. We've stopped in St. Louis a couple of times before, so we know there are good places there, but what about in Kansas or other states along the way? Any suggestions would be great.
I would looking into your driving route and finding breweries close to your route. If your going through big towns, look to see if a brewery, bottle shop, and a good craft beer bar that are close. It's going to take some time to research, but it will be worth it.
kc def has some nice places, my fav is the foundry. make sure to hit up free state in lawrence if you hadnt already planned
if you see a highly rated bottle shop or brewery in your route, perhaps give them a call and see what else is around. also if you are going through Indiana, you should check out Upland Brewery.
