brother is on his way up there to deliver some stuff tomorrow, and will be staying there tomorrow night. i have looked at the listings for stores there...some of them have not had a review in a while. just curious what he should look for up there and if there are any stores that he can do "one stop shopping". also, does VA do growler fills? wouldnt mind getting a growler of something if there is a store with growlers in roanoake. thanks guys.
None of the stores are large, like a Total Wine or anything. Mr. Bills, Wine Gourmet, and the Kroger on Brambleton will have a decent selection for the area. He's on I-81 and coming from the south--tell him to stop in Blacksburg an go to Vintage Cellar. That's the place you want (and less expensive 6-packs can be had at the Kroger next door). VA does growler fills, but I don't think you'll find a place that has a growler station in Roanoke. Parkway Brewing just opened up in Salem and they'll fill you one with their beer I think.
