    In my email this morning:

Lane and Ryan have been busy with some new beers as well! All five (5) can releases will be released on Wednesday! Welcome to the lineup for the first time:

    Marzen (German-style Lager - 5.4% ABV)
We brewed this German inspired ‘March Lager’ often found at the annual Munich festivities in Illinois, in July, so gesundheit to you, too! Expect a rich, bready, deeply malty beer that’s both creamy and crisp, thanks to our fully attenuative yeast strain and an ambitious mash schedule. Enjoy it in September like they do on the Wiesn!

OK Potato (India Pale Ale - 6.3% ABV)
This midsized hazy IPA continues our exploration of the style and features BRU-1, Citra, and Sultana hops on a lighter, easy-going malt body. Cheers!

Green Kite (California-style Double IPA - 8.7% ABV)
Brewed with our friends to the south, this big, bright, lip-smacking beer is
where we hope the future of West Coast IPA is heading. A simple malt bill
allows the mix of old- and new-school hops to shine, with a focus on rounded,
rich bitterness that adds heft to the texture of each sip. Cheers!

5.4 is pretty light for a Märzen (the Vienna was the same ABV ), but the proof will be in the tasting for me.

BTW -- does this scream decoction to anyone else?

So stoked! These guys are putting out a healthy amount of beer. I'm happily working through my Festbier and American Burger, but I'll welcome a Marzen and new WC IPA's from them anytime!

@Jaycase -- don't "like" that dammit, I was really hoping for it for the weekend -- and I can't get back there for a week! :slight_frown::wink:

 I was liking your diligence in checking with your local store. Still hope your local may get it today or tomorrow!

Not gonna "like" this one either because you missed my "diligence" only being a week at a time. :slight_frown:

If only I could spend my days on Beer Hunts anymore. Oh, to be young again.

I’m going to like this post just because of this line. These days I just hope I have enough beer left in the back of my fridge to last me through the night because I’m too lazy to make a trip to the store.

I believe these are out for deliveries today, my local bottleshop just posted they got it today.

I have the Marzen at home but haven't cracked one yet, will be doing so at some point this weekend. Purchased at RT

Found it at Beer on the Wall in Arlington Heights! While I liked it, I feel like it wasn't as good as Rev's marzen, especially when looking at value. Tastes are all subjective though, so give it a try y'all!

I also got the Green Kite and Tuba Solo, so excited.

Different strokes and all, but I've tried the Revolution Oktoberest a couple of times over the years and never found it great to-style.

That said, I'll definitely stay objective with RT's -- mostly because it's my favorite style and I pull no punches with any Brewer.

RE: Rev's...I find it above average for a Chicago Oktoberfest, but it's not on the level of German classics (Ayinger's being my personal favorite).

    "Chicago" Oktoberest?

    Even better than Dovetail?

Truth told, I like Metropolitan's better than Revolution, and I'm not a big fan of that one either.

I like Rev's better than Dovetail and Metropolitan.

To show you how little my opinion matters, I think Goose Island makes the best local Oktoberfest.
