I had to hit 2 places before finding it, but grabbed some Thither They Return today.

FWIW -- I added it to the database under Märzen because there's no other style closer to a Rotbier.

That said, this beer is dark enough to be a Dunkel, and there are definite Dunkel characters, but there's a grainy sweetness that's unlike any Dunkel. It's sort of between a Dunkel and a Vienna in its elegance. Not quite an Amber Märzen because of the alcohol, but very malty and smooth with a light touch of roasted malt.

Yeah, I’m not sure what to call it, but it’s really delicious

Well, the brewery (rightfully) calls it Rotbier, but, so far, there's no style listing for that -- anywhere I can find.

Where did you try it, on tap or from a can?

From a can. I live in LZ so I just swung by and grabbed some. I thought it was great. Deep flavor yet light and crushable. Definitely going to pick some more up.

Finally got the chance to take notes on the RT Pils (the German Pils) and Holiday Romance.

Added a review for the Pils and will get HR up ASAP. Really good stuff from that place.

Smoked Helles comin' out today, another collab with Riverlands -" Heller Rauch" (5.2% ABV). Also seeing a new batch of Tuba Solo coming out this Saturday at "Tuba Fest." A 3rd beer will be coming out this weekend as well I believe, but I'm not sure it's public info yet so I'll keep it hush hush for now

Is that, perhaps, a Dortmunder? Or is that one further down the line?

Think the Dortmunder is still a little bit down the line.

Interesting. If it's replacing Thatch Whistler, I hope they plan to revisit it in the future -- damn good stuff.

RT keeps rolling -- collected the Bronze medal at World Beer Cup for their "Beth" Saison w/ Brett B in the 'Classic Saison' category.

Anyone heard anything about the Baltic Porter release?

Nothing on the RT Facebook page.

Are you referring to the collaboration with Mikerphone? There was a Baltic Porter brewed @ Mikerphone and a Robust Porter brewed @ RT. If so, these were released at the same time.

As an aside, on RT's social media they mentioned an upcoming collaboration with Art History for a Korean-inspired Rice Lager. Looking forward to it.

Either of the porters I haven't seen.

And while it's interesting that RT is collabing with AH, can't drink a rice beer because I don't react well to that grain when fermented.

I believe both porters are still available at RT taproom along with some bottleshops and some select Binnys still have it:

"Roaring Mikerphone" (Mikerphone version, Baltic Porter)
"A Stout is a Porter when Neckbeards Takeover" (Roaring Table version, Robust Porter)

Came out I believe the last week of March

Okay, I saw the Robust at RT's taproom, but I haven't seen the Baltic anywhere. Was that distributed by Mikerphone?

My local Binny's and the local independent that gets most of the RT beers never had it.

My local indie shop did not have the Mikerphone version, so they may not have disty'd it, although I can't say with total certainty. Mikerphone might have been just available at both taprooms

Yike. The Baltic is $15 a 4-pack at RT. 10%, so I guess I wouldn't be guzzling it!

Bottles and Cans has the Robust Porter, so dome escaped the Taproom.
