Heya BAers... This week I had a chance drink of the Rockingham Blind Melon - Honey and Cantaloupe Blond Ale. Smelled great, the taste was there (a bit weaker than the smell) but an interesting offering. Enough so that I trekked up to Derry to grab a growler of some sort... Barrel Aged Maple Bacon Imperial Stout. Yup. There's a lot of good words in that sentence. I've had a few (meh, more than a few) stouts - this was, in my opinion, really tasty. A little boozy, yes, but the maple makes an appearance...maybe not in the Good Morning sense but certainly better than a few others where it vanishes completely. A little heavy on the barrel but not overly so. I think it's a good - maybe underrated - local shop. Here's hoping for good things.
I was able to try a couple of samples of their RIS, Belly of the Beast at the Nashua Bacon and Beer Festival last week.... Quite the solid offering. I hope to swing by their place to try more... Prosit
