Link appreciated, and the article therein reaffirmed what I already believed: Rogue sucks. DERAIL: That an A6 Intruder in your avatar?
Yup, sure is. I'm somewhat of an aviation geek, and rotate avatars every so often. A couple months ago I did a reread of "Flight of the Intruder", and here we are. There are still a few of the eA-6b variants, the Prowler (soon to be replaced by versions of F/A18 called Growlers, nice beer tie-in) based at NAS Whidbey Island, about an hour south of me. Just a few minutes down the road from Flyers Brewing, who have a nice bunch of aviation themed stuff on the walls.
Just heard about this at dinner tonight myself. It caught me completely by surprise (though I agree completely with the article's comments about the food and lack of patronage). A friend of mine from work goes there all the time for the drink specials mentioned in the article, and she said told she had no inkling about the closing either (and in fact, was unaware they had closed until I asked her about it this evening). That being said.... as the article points out, the only thing really surprising is that it took this long for it to happen.
wow, I had no idea Rogue was so crappy to their workers. Makes me even want their beer less, if that was somehow going to be hard to do.
Cheater pints. Any brewpub/brewery that serves cheater pints deserves to go under, especially here in Oregon were most serve real pints. And Rogues workers never seem happy ever.
