    From BeerStreetJournal:

Rogue Cold Brew IPA will slam flavors of hops and coffee together in a new release in April.

Rogue Cold Brew IPA features Stumptown Coffee Roaster’s 12 hour cold-brew coffee, and Rogue Farm grown hops and malts. The approach with this new IPA, is to create a beer that has a strong aroma of coffee, yet transitions seamlessly into an aromatic, hoppy IPA. A collision of two bold flavors that should please fans of both.

Rogue Cold Brew IPA will be a available in 22 ounce bottles and draft nationally in April, 2016.

    Style: IPA (w/ Coffee)
    Hops: Simcoe, Freedom, Liberty, Rebel
Malts: 2-Row, Rogue Farms Dare, Risk, Rolled Oats, White Wheat, Coffee

    Availability: 22oz Bottles, Draft.
    Debut: April, 2016

    7.5% ABV, 82 IBUs

I'd try it, I liked flying fish's exit 15 coffee IPA and they used different hops I think.

A Rogue beer I'd consider buying. I did enjoy the 7-Hop IPA a couple years back, the last beer I bought from them.

Pipeworks Attack of the Devil's Lettuce was solid for a coffee IPA.

    Hops can be awesome.
Coffee flavor in beer can be awesome.
This, however, seems to me to have a very slim chance of achieving awesome.

Well, at least you can guarantee the freshness on this when it releases, since there won't be previous iterations.

Hence why they put *RISK* on their bottle necks....because it's a risk of it being 5 years old.

I've had several coffee pale ales and IPAs over the years and have found they can work really well. Captain Lawrence Hopsomniac is good and La Cumbre's Mind PHOQ was killer. I'd say give it a shot, although as with any Rogue product, don't consider it the standard-bearer.

I cant bring myself to try any more coffee IPA. I feel like everything will be a let down compared to Dayman

n00bs who think, "I want to try some of this craft beer I have been hearing about. Hey, cool looking bottles! And I love the name, since I think of myself as a rogue as well!"

As much as I want to dismiss this as a stupid gimmick, the other coffee pale ales and IPA's I've had have been tasty IMO.
No clue why, but it works for my tastes.
As for Rogue, I like their beers. A lot in many cases. Those prices, though.

I honestly can't remember the last time I spent money on a Rogue beer....

This reminds me though, if Stone could bring back Dayman in 6 pks that'd be great.

Citrus and bitterness are two things that hops and coffee have in common, so I think I get how this could work. I'll give it a go.

This could be my first Rogue purchase in years...

Mostly because I'll be able to tell how old it is.
