They have a weird philosophy in that anything besides the rogue farm series is brewed year round. That's like 60+ different beers they are constantly brewing.

Why do you need a date for stuff that's only released once?

Seems like a decent idea to me. In the fall there are a zillion pumpkin beers and it's easy to get lost on a shelf and have customers that are sick of them.
The springtime is right around the time where there are a ton of boring wit seasonals and you've forgotten how "me-too" most pumpkin spice beers can be.

Just because you might have clearly defined seasons doesn't mean we all do. Rogue is located in Newport Oregon where we realy only have two. Cold and wet and slightly warmer and wet (Average rainfall can be 90" a year)

No wonder companies up there have to keep psychologists on staff to make sure people don't become suicidal due to the shitty year-round weather.

How come rogue dosent date their bottles? Maybe indicate which of their beers can be aged? Wish they would. Lots of places have a beer selection, but don't sell most of it. So when someone does grab a bottle it's old...disappointing.. Just my 2 cents...

If you don't know how old it is, that's one thing, but why refuse to buy a beer you know just came out just because it's not dated? I don't even check bottles for dates. It helps that I work in a liquor store, so I know what's been on our shelves for too long, but still, keep an eye on your store's shelves, and you'll know if it's old. Or, just ask an employee. Unless it's the store owner, it's not in their best interest to mislead you.

Rogue beers are some of the most grain heavy on the market. More grain, less water, equals long shelf life. Rogue has a crazy long shelf life. That's why no dates on bottles. I have had bottles of their year round brands that were a year old and bottles of their XS line that were 6 years old and they were all delicious.

Usually not a fan of Rogue offerings but this could be interesting. I would give it a shot even in the spring, it would be something different for that time of the year. It just might want to skip summer and get back to fall

Rogue makes some really good beers; Shakespeare stout, dead guy etc; but they make some crap too(the voodoo donut beers). Also, why do they think they can charge 25% more for their 6 packs than other similar brewers?

Fact #1: I wouldn't be missing anything if I never had another Rogue beer.
Fact #2: I wouldn't be missing anything if I never had another Pumpkin beer.
Conclusion: I will not be buying this beer.
