I don't know for sure, but I doubt that they made another batch. The fact that you are seeing some is an indication of how "well" it sold the first time.

 

They did, it's on the shelves at the store I frequent.

I am tempted... because... I am like that... cause it's there... it's pink hue calling out to me...

It's really not that bad. If you look at it as a smoked beer instead of a brown ale or a porter, your expectations will likely change a lot.

 

The first batch smelled like awesome breakfast and that was about it. If it is a new batch I'd probably still get a bottle to try.

 

Might be the worst beer I've ever had. If not it's surely on the bottom five. I've been afraid to have bacon ever since I had this beer.

 

Bought it. Had a taste, then another, and it was nasty. Lucky for me, the girlfriend drank it and saved us from a drain pour once again.

 

yeah except for the nasty cloying sweet maple syrup... *shudder* that beer was f-ing disgusting. I mean, epically awful. whew.

 

OK, and I (along with three of my friends) really liked it. Wish the price point was better.

 

So what you're saying is your girlfriend has more balls than you do?

 

I don't understand the hate for the beer, it is really sweet and not that smoky but it isn't offensive.

 

I can't count the number of times she's drank beers I was ready to pour.

 

I just thought it was overall bad, the base beer didn't have enough body to hold up to the array of bad flavor they added after. I bought one knowing to share as a gag 4 out of 10 or so that tried it loved it, everyone else hated it but found it amusing.

 

You got yourself a keeper there my man. I'm very grateful that my girlfriend likes a lot of beers, but sometimes I can't get her to finish a GREAT beer, never mind a drain pour.

 

Come on people... they advertise it as a "maple bacon doughnut" flavor. It tastes very sweet and smoky, just like the actual doughnut would. What else were you expecting?

Granted, there isn't much complexity, and the smoke flavor tends to linger for longer than I would prefer, but this is a unique beer that is definitely worth sampling and discussing.

 

I'm not knocking it. It tastes exactly as advertised. I just don't like it, but you gotta try them to be able make such a statement with any validity.

 

......is a piece of shit beer and not worth the money.

 

Another vote for "not as bad as I was expecting".
