I actually enjoy it! I've had two already and am down for another. Plus how can't you like a brew that comes in a pepto colored bottle?!

I've met guys who say this is their only. Drain pour. When I see it I picture it being a clear bottle full of peptobismol and that kills my curiosity.

This beer is the butt of a running joke with our tasting group. I guy picked up a bottle and brought it out of curiousity and now it has been a joke ever since...and because of its quality either. This pink disaster is cheap liquid smoke.

We had a Surly Smoke the follwing tasting it was a huge hit, so we are not a bunch of smokey beer hating d-bags.

I have a second bottle just waiting around in my refridge. I like breakfast beer's and this one was worth a try....although it was pricey.

I'm still pissed that they quietly changed it from a porter to an "ale" at the last minute. A smoky, sweet beer with no body? Great idea. That's $14 I'll never get back.

I think this is a 2nd batch...I have seen it pop up at a couple of stores and a few online also. Just seems like more than a coincidence that they all pop up at once....

As far as the beer itself....liquid smoke, to the point that it tastes like a Marlboro, followed by a super thin, overly sweet, maple sweetness that just doesn't work. at all.

I am pretty certain this is all one batch. They originally tried selling it as case only at the Rogue owned pubs. When word got out how bad it was nobody was willing to buy a case. They changed it to individual bottle sales and still nobody bought it. Then it starting showing up in California, including web sales from some online stores. Now it is going wider into distribution.

Drank it last night with friends. I did not expect great things, but would have been satisfied with a B-grade beer. Big disappointment. Only finished the bottle by experimenting w/ black & tans. Still no good.

I know it's tough to resist, but my advice is don't fall for the gimmick.

It's on shelves in mass and appears to just be sitting.

Exactly what I thought. Barely anyone wants a bottle or two at its current going price, much less a case. And I can't see it getting much better with age, so waiting for a price drop is gonna be a waste of time to me. I have a feeling a lot of shops are going to eat the cost of those bottles...

Tell us again what you think of Yuengling, then.

I would've gladly brought in a single case at my store, knowing a small amount would sell as a novelty, but Rogue is demanding 5cs minimum orders, at least in the Chicago market. Big surprise, I passed. To me it seems clear they're just trying to dump a beer that wouldn't sell in their home market.

This is pretty foolish of Rogue. Word has spread that it is not that good, yet the price remains elevated in typical Rogue fashion. Mark it down and sell it as a novelty and then the distributors could have done the same and move it off the shelves. Instead a lot of it sits and collects dust.

People are willing to swing a little less cash to try a novelty beer. Not $13.99 and up because it comes in a Pepto colored bottle. Craft beer companies need to focus on the beer and less on the damn marketing. We are not the macro market and that's why we're called BAs. I'll give my cash for the better product.

Tried last night and it was a drain pour. Nothing more than a novelty beer.

two different beers, im not saying this beer is that great, but it isn't like yuengling which is just swill and deserves to be hated on. I feel people are just hating on it because of the big pink bottle, rogue, concept of it. I don't think the brewers ever intended for it to be some kind of award winning world class beer.
