She really listens to suggestions, so there is hope. I think that Bell's is in good hands for many years to come.

Could not make it there. Had to hang out at some Brewpub in Santa Rosa today. Sucks to be me. ;-)

Edit - planning on eccentric day, which is nice.

2010 TCOA and blackberry-lemon oarsman were the highlights of my day.

Had a great day, BlackNote and his buds were gracious hosts and the BB 2010 Expy stout was flowing. Loved it!

Yeah this was a great party. The BA Expedition was amazing along with the toasted coconut espresso TCOA and I personally like the rum bomb mr Castries Vilnius. But the oarsman variants were really good too, black currant was my favorite.

    BB Expo was incredible.

I'm also on board with the TCE TCOA being good but adding that to the Java Stout didnt do much.

BB Expedition variants give me a tingle.

Barrel Aged Expedition was best in show for me as well... Absolutely incredible. Loved the Chocolate Covered Cherry DCS, Barrel Aged Dagger Stout, Breakfast Blend DCS, & Blackberry Lemon Oarsman as well.

The only beer I didn't care for was Mr. Castrie's Vilnius... solvent-y rum bomb.

Awesome event, awesome beers, awesome people. 10/10 would bang.

I had a delightful time, and it was well worth the trip up from Chicago. First Bell's event I've ever been at, and would gladly to more in the future.

BA Expedition was my favorite as well. My experience with Black Note is not vast, but I'd join the chorus of those who'd prefer to see straight BB Expedition as the BA Stout that Bell's bottles. 2010 TCOA was also very good, and Black Currant was the standout of the 4 Oarsmen for me. I actually preferred the regular Wild One to the Raspberry - the latter was quite good, but didn't deliver quite as much sour as I expected from the nose. I liked the BB Dagger, but I haven't had the base beer, and I'd appreciate the chance to try them side by side. I wonder how much the barrel covered up the licorice, although I did get a bit of smoke and molasses as the beer warmed up. I'll admit to finding the Vilnius...challenging.

There were only three beers that had kicked by the time we left at 7. (Expedition, Black Note and TCOA) I'm wondering how many made it to the end of the night.
