Hint #1: Shipping to someone who has posted at least once in this thread so far.
Hint #2: I have neither shipped beer to nor received beer from my target in the past
Hint #3: My target's state is not part of the name of a property on a Monopoly board
Hint #4: I am NOT shipping to a state bordering my own
Hint #5: If you wrote my target's state with scrabble tiles, the highest valued letter would be worth 4 points
Hint #6: I am NOT shipping to the person who I think is my sender (and who was still a viable candidate based on my other hints)

Nope because water is not important to me....

    ...Are you my sender?

I may or may not be your sender, but, as a NYS native, I know just how important water is to that state. That clue absolutely keeps you in.

And, as pointed out upthread, water is important to beer. So water is important to every participant in this BIF.

    Glad it got there safely!

Now I know you can cram nine 16oz cans into a usps flat rate box!

I regularly fit 12-12oz cans into a medium box.

12x12=144, which, incidentally, is the maximum ounce limit in this BIF.

    Two observations --

#1 -- I've shipped 82 times since I started doing this, and always used Fedex or UPS (usually Fedex)-- I've always been given reasons not to use USPS, but a flat rate box would probably save me a LOT!

#2 -- I'm pretty sure some of you have eliminated valid senders, which I guess isn't a big deal but is gonna make me doublecheck my work!

Hint #6: My target does not currently reside at 124 Conch Street nor do they live at 742 Evergreen Terrace, but they share something with each.

That’s cool. 16x9 gets you to the same number and by me all the cool breweries only can in the pounders.

$13.65 all in for nine 16s or twelve 12s! Can’t beat it!

I just worry there isn't enough padding in the USPS box

That's definitely valid regarding bottles. I have had one bomber bottle break in transit, which was somewhat heartbreaking... but regarding cans, I've never had an issue. Just watch your dimensions - don't try to cram a tall bottle in to one of those boxes. It won't end well.

On my last vacation (this happens to be part of one of my hints...), I sent off six large flat rate boxes full of Tree House and Trillium cans, and one box full of Trillium and Jack's Abbey bottles. Zero casualties! USPS has done well by me.

I just shipped 12 16oz cans in the large flat rate box. Wrapped half with two sheets of bubble wrap and the other half with one sheet. It was a very tight fit but it made it just fine.

On the converse side, that person sent me back 4 16oz cans in a medium flat rate box and there was one casualty. Seemed to be good packing. There was a pin hole in the side of one of the cans and 3/4 had leaked out. Couldn't see any associated damage on the outside of the box so I have no idea how it happened.

Just to be safe make sure that all cans are in a zip lock bag in case there is a fallen soldier.

I probably will have to stick with my old method for this round (I happened to have one of my target's wants cellared, and it's a big bottle; plus I think my box will be a mix of sizes), but will try to go can-centric where possible in the future.

It's much easier to let people shop out of the trunk of your car and skip the packing and shipping.

Lol! I remember shopping at Big Mike's Bottle Shop quite well. Still sad that I didn't get to come visit again last month. Was so looking forward to it.

Hint #1 - Shipping west to a state with smaller population than mine
Hint #2 - My target joined after me and has less Karma but more trades than I have here.
Hint #3 - Target does not log or rate beers here
Hint #4 - Target is not the only one from their state who is participating

I'm *this* close to calling you out sender.....if only I could verify that @Oconomowocian 's guess of @GoatmanBrewsMD was accurate... (Also, I wonder if I'm the only other one here who could pronounce "Oconomowocian")
