Wait, IG is now policing beer releases? Haven't heard of this.

 

I think it’s more promoting the sale of alcohol that triggers the post to be removed. However, they should be allowed as they are a brewery. It’s inconsistent at best from IG.

 

I missed the Fear release as well, bit of a bummer. Dawned on me too late that R+B was due for another release. Looks like I'll be enjoying this one on tap instead!

 

@xenjoiii - Like Flies on Sherbert is hands down the best Sour IPA I have had, and I have tried some great ones. I hope you plan to keep coming back to this style on occasion. Cheers

 

picked up Life and Fate VII today - fairly disappointed. I get a weird aroma and flavor that has me thinking solvent fumes / peaty scotch; vegetal bitterness builds in the middle and carries through the finish. there's some mango/pineapple/orange but it's fairly muted to me and overpowered by those other notes. have three more cans of it so will see what happens, but a confusing and not exactly good first can

anyone else try it? cheers!

 

Sounds odd. Did you only have one can, or multiple? I thought it was amazing - 4.6/5. R+B is making best IPAs in Northeast right now, IMO.

 

A lot of reviews mention an herbal, green, onion, or even mint note, so I don't think you're alone based on that. But it's an R and B so most everyone is going to rate insanely high. That said most claim it is amazing as an their other DIPAs so who knows. Don't get me wrong, they make great stuff, but they definitely get a bit of a hype bump inevitably. Hopefully the issues that bother you die down in a week or so, those cans aren't super easy to get and are usually pretty good to great.

 

Just the one - I enjoy their brews and the other cans aren’t going anywhere, so will see what happens!

 

Yeah there’s some scarcity/hype premium baked in there I’d say, but I’m hopeful the cans turn for the better (or I just had a weird experience last night, who knows)

That said, I’m pretty skeptical of people claiming this is up there with recent DIPAs e.g. Bone in the Throat, which I thought was excellent

 

Bone was soooo good - unfortunately didn't get in on this last brew.

 

why was getting a 3080 easier than that drop?

 

Idk about that, I've been on the wait list for a 3080 for over a year and I got the drop just fine. Have to check their website cause they post about upcoming releases there before they just drop them on instagram.

 

welp there’s my issue, it’s my first time trying to get from them since I’m gonna be in NYC for the weekend. didn’t realize they posted of their site before IG.

 

The cans lasted 26 minutes…thats an eternity for them.

 

They didn't actually go up on the web shop at 5pm though.

 

IG sends me notifications about everything except for when Root and Branch posts and I can't figure out why.

 

My instagram notifies me immediately for them and troon but refuses to make any noise. So unless I'm staring at my phone, no luck. So I feel the annoyance @Xerlic
I'm assuming it's my android phone but for the life of me after multiple attempts I can't fix it. Good luck to you.
