Right by the Lindenhurst station there's 27A, Sand City, Breslau, and W A Meadwerks (for those who are into that sort of thing). Kind of wild how much is concentrated on a couple of blocks there.

The next stop going toward the city is Copiague where Root + Branch is right by the station.

Go two stops more and you've got Motion near the Massapequa Park station.

Secatogue is also adjacent to the Babylon branch but not actually near a station, so taking a car would be required.

Stopped by R+B during my lunch break today. Great little spot. Very clean looking. It was pretty filled inside for 1215 on a Thursday. The outside looks awesome but definitely was not the day to hang in the sun. Maybe this evening was a little more bearable.

I had a glass of the Pils, which was really good (wish it was available for growler fills). Grabbed a few cans. I do hope they provide lower ABV options in cans as the operation progresses.

Also saw someone buy 6 cases of DIPA/TIPA. Is that still a thing?

I actually had the same thought when I went the other day and picked up just over a case. I thought it was excessive even though I have house guests and a wedding, but then i saw what looked like a huge pickup of 3 or 4 cases and felt better!
Space is nice, not huge though the outside in fall or spring adds a bunch and looked great. Materia was great on draft but would have preferred it in cans over one 8 percent beer. Nonetheless looking forward to trying them all. Not sure when I can make it back being a 90 min drive without any traffic each way, but it was nice to see the place.
I guess to the muling, at least @xenjoiii should be happy to see it. Whatever pays for more pales and singles and pilsner.

So @guinness77 was right. Strata is great! Light, mild bitter backend, and definitely that strawberry flavor up front. Drinks like a single. No green-ness I detect. Really enjoying it after a long work day especially in this heat.

haven’t had the opportunity to stop at the new location yet but the stout that was released through 12% was so good. the habanero was such a nice subtle touch. super excited to get my bottle bundle this saturday.

100% making the trip to the taproom next time i’m in the city

Just to give you a heads up, the taproom is about an hour-long train ride or drive from Manhattan. Haven’t been in yet, but I’m guessing it’s worth the time.

it’s a tough trip out there anyways, but we’re in the city pretty often so it’s the perfect excuse to go out a little further. at least once lol

From yesterday with an old friend, can confirm both dead men and Fate X drink great. Dead men the sweeter and smoother with more of a bite on the Fate. Very nice beers. Tomorrow made for a very good single IPA Saturday. All in all I favor Strata of the 4 releases on pure taste. But fate had a nice sharpness to it that the recent OH and TH mostly don't have. Tomorrow though at 6.5 is hard not to really enjoy, especially with my toddler wake up service even on weekends!
Plus, when a friend and his wife with easy TH access enjoys R and B as much as they did, I'd say it's indicative of quality stuff. I can't say I'm blown away by any beer these days given the amazing selection and options, but this is good stuff. Wish it weren't 90 minutes away with near zero traffic.

Headed out this week. What day(s) of the week are releases typically?

Friday new releases. Mon online ordering opens for prior Friday's release (so technically you could go on Friday having pre-ordered on Monday the prior weekend's leftovers and get 2 weeks worth of cans).

Do whatever you need to do to get Infiltrator, walk, run, crawl, train, plan, bicycle, scooter. Fantastic Nelson beer, one of the best Nelson beers I have ever had. And nice to see the tide turn from Brooklyn to Suffolk and get these beers so easily !

Swung by today. Everything, every style, world class. Just highly impressive. Amazing to, just, like, simply get some cans on site
without issue but also sad that it's waaay more difficult for me, personally, to grab their stuff now compared to being online at the right time and then picking up at Ridgewood lol.

tl;dr super happy for @xenjoiii and wish I could get his stuff more easily!

Thieves Like Us is a fantastic porter. Great timing on the drop too with this colder weather setting in.

Can anyone confirm a nagging curiosity I have? think this may have been touched on before by Anthony, but a few the LIC beer project beers around 2017 were just so memorable. I feel like there’s a cool story there if these were like the R&Ds before the R+Bs. There was a point where LIC was putting out the best haze in the city. Specific beers I’m thinking of are party crasher, Samo, pile of crowns, and buffed.

I'd definitely be curious to know if/how much the LIC recipes carried over or changed to his R+B ones. Also totally agree about them having the best IPA in the city during that period. For me it was a batch of Wildstyle that blew my mind, also remember loving Triple Candy, and the last few times I've had those same labels the beer hasn't even come close to resembling what it was back then.
