Root Down Brewing has opened a weekend beirgarten at 425 Bridge Street in Phoenixville, PA in cooperation with Uncle B's BBQ. It's open from 4 to 10 pm on Friday, 11 AM to 10 PM on Saturday and 11 AM to 8 PM on Sunday. Uncle B's BBQ food choices are available as well as a line-up of draft beers from Root Down. I have attached a link to some pics of last weekends grand opening of the outdoor seating area and onsite activities. https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/179H9RmkAMayVBYU6uDMQ6bG7p2-patvX Onsite parking is also available for about 50 vehicles. Another nice beer and food option available in downtown Phoenixville!!
Richard (@rotsaruch) how many tap handles are there? The fact they have onsite parking is a real plus. I rarely visit downtown Phoenixville due to the lack of free parking there. Cheers!
That's right near Stable 12's outdoor garden..........hmmm wondering how that's going over. I'm just not a fan of walking around on a stone bed like that, it's just makes all your clothes dirty and grimy. Guess I'm a primadonna, but I'll take a patio style or paved/concrete area any day of the week. Kudos to them though for opening an outdoor location since they have no room at their place.
Thanks for the info. RD is one of our favorites but unaware they were doing a biergarten. Last week we went to Levante at Highland Orchards and Kennett Creamery. I am enjoying this trend.
Haha, yeah I'd have to dig them out of the basement, they are down there somewhere. I'm just too old anymore to be uncomfortable doing anything, walking around on a stone/gravel bed in the soaking hot sun is not my idea of "fun drinking conditions".....but to each his own. I love a good biergarten, but I need it to be done right. God I sound curmudgeonly.
It's my understanding that their are eight RDB draft beers on tap at any time. At this point, canned beer is not available.
