I have drank beer most of my life but recently just discovered the wonderful new and different beers at epcot.

I currently drink dos equis, corona, yuengling, stella artois, modelo, and michelob.
I tried and liked some of the hefeweizens there esp the paulaner hefeweizen. I've since tried some hefeweizens and realized they vary greatly. I liked the Moroccan casa beer. I liked the italian moretti beer as well.
I cannot handle or like the very dark beers. We ate at the biergarten there and I got a beer flight and loved 2 of them. The rest were dark and cough syrupy tasting to me and the grapefruit (well I hate grapefruit) I did not like.
We have a reservation for the rose and crown and they have a huge variety of beers. I looked at pictures and saw the two that look lightly golden colored are harp lager and strong bow.
Can anyone give me recommendations based on these other beers I liked?

You're looking for a recommendation for beers at Rose and Crown? Looking a the menu they don;t have may beers. My guess is that Harp would be something you'd enjoy, Strongbow is a cider. You may enjoy Bass as well.

The only beer list for Epcot's Rose & Crown that I see lists only these beers:
Of those, Harp would probably be closest to the beers you like. "Strongbow" is a cider.

Also, note that the only beer on the list of that faux-British pub that is brewed in the UK is Boddingtons - Bass is brewed in the US, the others are brewed in Ireland.

Or, ya know, what he wrote  (while I was reading the online menu).

If you like hefes, make sure you try the Weihenstephaner offering. It's the standard that others in the style are judged against. It might not be at the Rose & Crown, but it's in every proper beer shop in America.

Why don't you go to a beer bar and try some of the classic craft beers. Try drinking brews like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Anchor Steam, Sam Adams Boston Lager and Fat Tire.

Welcome to your graduation exercise from that world of macro beers.

I'll suggest pilsners, golden ales, blonde ales and fruit beers. Use some caution on selecting the golden ales and blondes because sometimes Belgian yeasts are used in them and the flavors given off by those yeasts can be a little off-putting to some people. Fat Tire is also a great entry beer and is easily found.

Also, there's a link to a search that I did in this forum that has many threads that seek advice on beers to drink. Enjoy your search; it will be a great learning process.

I suggest trying Boddingtons if you're feeling a bit adventurous, and definitely Bass. Harp, you will like, but it's too similar to everything else you've had. Time to go a little further outside the box!

Also, it should be noted, that the International Festival of the Arts is going on right now at Epcot, and there's probably going to be a ton of great craft beer offerings. I definitely recommend wandering around after (and before) dinner and trying some random stuff you've never seen before.

Lots of great options at Epcot to try different styles of beer, especially during a festival. As others have said Harp may be what you’re most used to at Rose and Crown, but Bass is something you may want to try. It’s a pale ale but pretty smooth concerning hops. I personally get the Black and Tan at Rose and Crown, half Bass/half Guinness. If you’re feeling adventurous to try both at the same time.

Norway has a nice white ale on tap at the outside beer stand that’s pretty light and refreshing.

Canada has Moosehead Lager or Labatt’s Pilsner, which you might enjoy for lighter styles. However my favorite beer in the park is La Fin Du Monde (Belgian tripel) which may not be your cup of tea just yet.

You can probably skip France/China/Italy when it comes to beer. But they do have some nice cocktail/wine/champagne options if you want to keep the crawl going.

    Have fun!

Yep, on draft at the popcorn/beer stand right in front of the garden entrance to Le Cellier. Best bang for the buck IMO.
