Row 2, Hill 56?

yes it is, i would trade a pliny for it! Didn't get to try it when it came out, it's long gone now

 

They had it on tap last Friday in Santa Rosa.

 

Last bottle run is all gone, but its still on tap at the brewpub and I know beer revolution had it friday. When I was up at the brewpub earlier this month (Oct 1st) they said they would probably do another bottle run in a few weeks. I hope that's still happening

 

I'd get the pliny since it should be way fresher at this point.

 

Don't trade for a bottle of Row 2 -- it's way over the hill at this point. It got released in May and is an American Pale Ale, so you're talking about a nearly six-month old hoppy beer. It's just not in good shape at the moment.

You could trade for a growler of it, however -- they make fresh batches for the brewpub on a pretty regular basis, so if you want to try how it's supposed to taste, that would be the way to do it.

 

The bottle I had a couple of months ago is dated 062612, so it sounds like there were multiple bottlings.

As of right now, the only bottling done of Row 2 has been that first one (6/26/12), so any bottles you see are waaaaaay over the hill (looking at YOU, City Beer, and your comedy gold putting bottles of Row 2 in your "reserve cooler" for $9 a pop).

 

Yea i think for all the bottles I've seen and traded out, they all have bottling date of 6/26.

 

If you are in the mood for Row 2, you should also seek out ITALOGBTMGW, I think last bottling was early september, but it is fantastic and better than Row2 IMO.
