Thanks for clarifying. Based on the hours posted that was my thinking.

We're probably just going for drinks so if we dont get bar seats, table right away I don't care. It's not hard to get some for a least our ladies. Bar seats turn over quickly.

No, I called. All tables for which they take reservations are available on OpenTable, although they do have a walk-in only area as well. They did have tables at like 5 PM and 9 PM, just nothing in a more typical dinner time.

Went for lunch today, the clam chowder and the cask dry-hopped Nugget Nectar were both outstanding, plenty of space at the bar at 12:30 on a (bitter cold) Friday. I suspect that won't be the case when the weather warms up and the patio opens.

Where is the patio going to be?

There's really only one place it can fit. Google street view here: http://goo.gl/maps/oprt3

Once again, thank you. Didn't even envision that spot.

I'll add to the overwhelming positive comments....

Went last Saturday with a group of 6. Saddled up for standing room only at the bar at 7:45 pm, got a table at 8:30 pm because a group didn't show up for a reservation.

Draft list was carefully selected. Any bar that I can get Mahr's Ungespundet Lager on draft is a bar I'm going to frequent often. Started with that, then had a half-pour (love this) of the Fort Point because I've never tried it. Then drained 3 imperial pints of Notch's Cerne Pivo on cask (very well taken care of I might add). The Notch on cask may have been the best beer I've had in months.

The oysters were outstanding, as was the service. Even the rolls were great! We got a round of various oysters that were out of this world, can't remember what they all were. It's only one visit but this bar is right up there with the Deep Ellum/Lord Hobo/Publick House's of Greater Boston, especially with regards to the tap list.

I'm planning on going for lunch on the 14th when I'm up there. How's the parking situation in that part?

There's a reasonably priced lot on Necco Street (yes like the wafers) around the corner. Or park by the convention center and walk it.

Good time Friday, Really crowded with the young 20's after work crowd more concerned about their suit, cocktails, mindless office jabber than the beer. Cleared out around 9-9:30 to a comfortable level. We got a reserved bar seat almost right away. Yes the bar is reserved. Good brews, was stoked fort point was back on. It isn't the cheapest of bars but that doesn't discourage me once in a while. Good time
