Royal Rumble BIF/LIF

As I was backing out of the garage to go to my tasting last night, I saw a box on the porch. I figured I'd grab it, throw it in the trunk, and look at it when I got home. Unbeknownst to me, my plans were not going to work. As I grabbed the box, I felt it was wet. (Thought "Oh, it's just not covered again." as it was kinda starting to snow.) Upon further inspection, though, it was too wet for that and then I realized that the cardboard was stained as well.

So I brought it in and, wouldn't you know it, bbothen's hard work was still done in, although, I suppose I'm pleased to report that at least it doesn't appear to be the fault of UPS (or bbothen; guess I should make that clear). 3 of the 4 beers inside were absolutely fine. One beer appeared to be fine, other than it was missing about 55% of the beer inside. And, as much a tragedy as that was, the worsest part was that bbothen had gone to the trouble to burn me 4 incredibly awesome DVDs with older (from MY golden age) wrestling shows and they were absolutely covered in tanilla. I did my best to clean them up, but they just won't play, which, honestly, is a HUGE bummer. I mean, I love beer and all the beer I've ever received in trade or some form of an IF, but those DVDs were just a super awesome extra. That was a seriously cool move on his part, knowing that someone in this thread would seriously appreciate those. Thanks man; awesome extras on your part.

Oh, and just an aside, has anyone ever seen/heard of this? The bomber that didn't survive intact was not, in fact, damaged, in terms of the glass, anyway. No cracks, breaks, or leaks. However, even today when I originally started to type this out, I could still hear air leaking out between the bottle and the cap. Almost a tea kettle-ish sound. I don't imagine it encountered much in the way of cold weather (compared to what we've had this winter) on the way here from CA. Could it just have been a poor capping job or could pressure from something else have loosened the cap? I had totally expected to see a broken bottle and was more than a little surprised to see none.

Big thanks to bbothen as I am going to enjoy the heck out of those 3 beers. That stout is right up my alley! (When I saw the bottle from the side originally and only saw the "IC" on the end, I was like "NO WAY!! There's now a Weird Al beer?!" haha) I've never before had Sucks (or Brown Shugga, for that matter), so that will definitely be a good beer to finally try. And that Big Daddy IPA? Well, I've always heard about Speakeasy, looking forward to ANOTHER new IPA, and that bottle... DANG! I don't collect them, but my brother loves mafia/gang stuff and if he doesn't want it, I bet I know a few bottle fans that may. Thanks again for the awesome box and I'm so sorry that something screwed up that one beer and it messed up the DVDs as well. Seriously, man, SUPER awesome box and extras! Very much appreciated!
