Hey all...going to a show at the Royale tonight and am looking for a good bar with decent food and a beer list that will cater to my craft palate and my friend’s not so craft palate. We don’t mind walking a bit. I was thinking Stoddard’s. Open to any suggestions. Thanks a lot!
Atmosphere at Jacob Wirth beer hall is pretty fun, nothing mind-blowing on tap but a good selection of German + other euro beers
The Salty Pig or Coda are good options with 3/4 of a mile of Royale - super convenient if you're traveling via the Orange Line or from the south shore on the commuter rail as they're both right near Back Bay Station. I think Jacob Wirth shut down recently due to a fire and flooding. Probably worth a call before you decide on it.

Dan, might want to be sure they are back open before heading over there. https://www.necn.com/news/new-england/Historic-Restaurant-Shut-Down-Following-Fire-485063851.html
This doesn't answer your question really, because their beer selection is not great, but Shojo is my go-to when going to Royale. Enjoy King Gizzard. https://www.shojoboston.com
Sorry don't know where Royale is but Gingerman is right downtown and has a great tap list. Close to orange and green line.
Stoddard's is always my answer. Or maybe a burger at JM Curley and then over to Stoddard's for beers.
