I'm going to be in the SF Bay Area (low peninsula area), and was curious how available the RR Sours will be? I won't be able to make it up to the Russian River Brewery, but am hoping to find some of their stuff in the stores. Any Recommendations? -OCJeff
Word is they don't distribute their sours any more, per Jug Shop convo. Brewery only. On tap is a different story. Would love to be corrected.
The sours distribute to Socal very rarely. I only saw Supp and Con twice in 2015. Stuffed Sandwich in SGV usually has RR sours but they are taxed, like $18+. In as Northern CA, as mentioned City Beer store might have it. Last time I was there, they had it for in-house only.
They distribute still in the Bay Area; however, it is very rare. I have seen Supplication and Temptation on the shelves once in the last year, and they go very quickly. Odds are you won't find any if you are only in town for a couple days. Best chance is to hit up the stores that have RR accounts the day they get their weekly deliveries.
Bradley's in Tustin had Supplication last night actually https://www.facebook.com/bradleys.liquor/posts/921112674673861?notif_t=notify_me
That's because RR only releases them a few times a year. We get them every time there's a new release.
You'll be able to get Consecration and supplication at a few spots in San Jose if your going to be that far down. Santa Clara liquors usually has both. cheers
yeah local liquor stores ( kellys, santa clara ,royal, maple wood and cask n flask ) get stuff every once n a while. usually supplication and every once n a while other RR stuff like pliny redemption and damnation.
as others said, anything outside the brewery is completely random, just whatever shows up, whenever. last i saw was some Temptation bottles in a grocery store in SF but it's been months now.
They have batch 3 (might be 1 or 2 but I think its 3) Temptation for on-premise consumption at City Beer.
