RU-55 in Houston

Good luck man, incredibly tough find there. You will have to trade for one at this moment. No idea who would have one left though...

 

make sure you get one with the new cap. Old cap was not as good.

I can't remember if I only have one left, or a couple... I loved that beer so I will have to look and see what I have before really offering up a trade, but what did you have in mind to offer up? (You can BM me if you want or reply here)

 

There's definitely more. I don't know what the plans are for it but they have slightly new labels.

 

There was a batch of RU-55 with blackberries(?) at Jesterking on 8/31. (hopefully being bottled soon)

I also had my first RU-55 last tuesday and it was fucking phenomenal. want more.

 

sorry, a bit misleading. RU-55 with some type of berries sitting in barrels. I wasn't able to try any, but my friend's friends walked up to us and mentioned they were able to try it. Obviously, it was great they said.

 

We got to try it during the Atrial Rubicite release. It was fantastic.

 

I'm super excited for that one since RU-55 is an incredible beer and IMO will make for an even better base beer than Das Uberkind, as far as all the forthcoming fruit beers.

I thought the cap mattered for a long time. When I drank my bottle with the gold cap fresh, I thought it was missing carbonation. When I found a bottle with the new cap, I thought the carb was much better. However, I had some RU-55 from a gold-capped bottle on Saturday and it was very close to the new-capped bottle I had.
