I’ll be headed to the Ruidoso/Cloudcroft area for spring break, and am looking for suggestions on where to grab some local brews for the cabin. On reviewing previous posts on the topic, aside from visiting an actual brewery, there’s not much in the way of selection on store shelves. I’m mainly looking for La Cumbre, Marble, and Bosque. On La Cumbre’s website, they list their beers available at some of the Allsups, but I’m not sure what the selection would be, or if they would also carry any other locals. So I guess my question is, should I risk a local shop, or say hit a grocery store in a larger city and stock up there before heading on? Thanks

Well, after a bit more research, it looks like the Albertsons in Ruidoso carries those three brands. I’m still open to other suggestions though too. Thanks,

Albertsons and Allsups in that area of the state usually carry a few of the core beers from those breweries. It can be pretty hit or miss though depending on the store. I’ve had some luck finding beers at Walgreens also. Typically I usually stock up in Albuquerque before heading that way, but I’ve heard Los Cruces has some decent stores as well.

There no beer stores in Cloudcroft to speak of. There is a winery in town though that was pretty cool.

Also there is a little pizzeria in Cloudcroft that I personally didn’t visit, but others in my group went and said they had decent draft beer.
