I was hoping I could get folks to chime in when they first see this bad boy on their respective store's shelves. I want to try this one so badly, I may end up facing a loitering charge at my local Wegmans!

I've been told it won't get into the PA area until around the end of the month...maybe even early July. Basically add 2-3 weeks to the original release date of June 11th.

Hmmm. Disappointing, yet understandable. Thanks for your input!

That's been my experience with a lot of west coast beers as well, sometimes on the higher end. This year's IRS seemed to not get here until late May/Early June(?) and that comes out on tax day. Another one that was was ridiculous (seemed like it was closer to five weeks after release and also like two weeks later than when NYC got it) was that collab on a chocolate stout that Stone and Troeg's did last summer.

Not to mention Rayon Vert. I don't think that popped up in Central NY until February.

Does Stone brew fresher batches for us or ship the same 5 week old batches here?

I wonder if someone will blame Stone for the beer sitting in a warehouse in their own geographic region for weeks before it hits shelves?

Cant speak to its availability out here (my beer guy says "soon") but just got back from California and it is drinking fantastic! 10.8% is hidden fairly well but the hop aroma and taste is really on point. Brought back two more bottles with me until the supply trickles out here. FWIW the bottle art is pretty cool to boot.

I know Hunterdon started shipping this to a very limited number of stores in NJ. Anyone see this one in the Ocean/Monmouth county area??

Just started shipping this today.. expect to see it over the next few days depending when Hunterdon hits your area. Only 50 stores in NJ getting it so i'd expect some of the larger accounts that Hunterdon ships too would be the ones to check if you are on the hunt

It's a massive TIPA and will have no problem with the additional two weeks to arrive back east you guys. I had it on release and just picked up a case last night and it's virtually the exact same brew. Nobody complained about SN Hoptimum as it traveled so get ready for what many of us in Cali think is the best brew Stone has ever made. It's Citra hoppy heaven for sure and absolutely delicious on every level, the nose is so explosive it's amazing, maybe the only beer that comes close is Kerns Citra. The citrus flavors and hoppy bitterness are perfectly balanced,it's hard to imagine as your drinking this baby that it almost 11%. You'll have no problem spotting the bottles, Stone went all out on this limited edition, they are quite simply great examples of bottle art.

    Cheers....

Found it in CNJ today, haven't tasted it yet but will tomorrow I have very high expectations and don't think it will disappoint. When me and a friend first heard about it we joked about how we have to clear a beer out of our personal top 5 dipa lists to make room for this, before even tasting it lol.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what happens to all the old Ruination? All the stores I frequent still have tons of it. I mean it's like 7 Minute Abs. You see 10th Ruination sitting on the shelf next to the old stuff.. which one you gonna pick!? :astonished:
