RuinTen spottings?

Costco Signal hill has 1 full palett (Not sure how many cases that is) - price was $5.49 a bottle.....LOTS of bottles - Plus lots of other local brews too - Bruery Tradewinds, Port Wipeout, Chimay, Brothers Theloneous, Avery Maharaja, etc....>Starting to get more and more bombers in stock.

 

Stone company store just got another 90 cases in yesterday and don't expect the supply to slow down for a while. I was told they might be selling 1/6bbl kegs of it in a few weeks. I know I'm saving a tap just in case!

BevMo on Geary got some....picked up 6 yesterday. It's in the back so you have to ask for it. 6.99 each.

 

Seems to be the standard price outside of Costco. Kelly's in SJ charged the same. They also had Pliney for $6.99, which seems a bit steep. I bought two anyway. I've never had Pliney bottles before.

 

I just bought a bottle at BevMo in Capitola. 831, 1 bottle minimum per person.

 

So if you walk in the store you have to buy at least one, is that how that works?

 

Really bitter and malty, wow. Wasn't this beer good last year?

 

Just had some on tap at City Beer Store. They also had at least half a dozen cases either on the shelf or still in the box.

 

hi, love this site, this is my first post. I love the drink by beers, tried several, most recently the drink by 7/4, amazing. have not seen the RuinTen around where I live. AZ. and I was in San Diego last week, and didn't see it there. anyway, what caused me to finally create a user account and post are the comments about exploding bottles of Stone beer. I was aging a bottle of Stone Russian Imperial Stout, I bought it maybe three months ago. on Thursday I heard a strange popping sound, but didn't know what it was. On Friday I entered the room where my beers are being aged. I noticed a beer smell. I opened the closet where they are stored, and the Stone beer had blown a hole right in the side. Beer was everywhere, but only a bit of glass. I am still cleaning up the mess, and I am upset about the loss of the beer, but more upset about the mess. So yeah, I would say there is a pattern going on here. my bottle of Stone beer exploded with a big hole in the side of the bottle.

 

Had some last night. Great smell, good taste.

 

Having a bottle now. I remember 10th being malty, but this is definitely maltier. It's really damn malty. Still, an okay beer.

 

I split a bottle yesterday. We noticed something almost savoury. It's reported to be 50/50 Centennial/Citra, but I thought I was noticing some of the more onion-like Columbus or Summit or something. No?

 

Loved it last year. Thought it was just okay this year. I blame the level of hype and expectations I created for it on myself.

Oh well. At least I got it from Costco, so it only dinged me for $5.50

 

Saw cases at Trader Joe's in Brea. Selling for less than $7.

 

Albany BevMo got in 15 cases between Friday and today. Most of those are still there. I picked up 3 at 6.99 apiece.

I had this on tap in Escondido on Saturday and was quite impressed. Much better than normal Ruination, which leaves me consistently unimpressed.

 

I bought one bomber from Fountain Valley Costco yesterday. $5.49. They had about 15 cases left.

Out of the way for sure, but there are cases at Ojai Beverage Company. Great tap menu at the moment as well. Stone mixtape, etc. Just had an awesome dinner there.

 

It wasn't nearly as good as I expected.Also the Enjoy by 7/04 just didn't wow me.I found some at TW Arden on 6-9 but only the limit of 1.I did however find some at Bevmo Natomas yesterday.So I bought 2 and there were still 4 or 5 on the shelf.Funny since at Bevmo and TW Arden you had to ask for Enjoy by.
