    I would imagine that rum stout would be fine but never had one.

    That said, I have a batch of BlackForst Dark Cherry Stout fermenting since last night and a first attempt at a homemade rum that is just about done fermenting...might be a match.

    It's not as widely regarded on this site, but Alewerks put out their VIII anniversary ale last year (Belgian Strong ale aged in rum barrels) and it's both my favorite rum barrel beer I've had my favorite thing I've had from Alewerks.

    It's only 5.4%!? That seems REALLY weak for that kind of beer.

    Rumpkin - a great strong pumpkin beer aged in rum barrels. Why is it great? Because it tastes like rum, not pumpkin.

    Everyone talking about rum stouts but where's the love for rum sours?? The best I've had so far has to be Green Man Maceo. The extra layer of complexity the barrels added was simply spectacular.

    I've had it in the bottle, and from the tap.... oddly enough, i thought the bottle was better....just sayin....
