Rum King in Bottle shops

I think I'm going to go ahead and remove Stinson from my list of places you might find Rum King Thursday...

 

Ha, are they out already, or are you saying they'll be out after they release it on their Tuesday beer day?

 

Reading between the lines that their allotment is in, and will be sold out today.
Which probably also means that if the other stores I mentioned also got deliveries today, they won't still have any on Thursday, either.

 

As with all beer releases in the cities, the first day is the shitshow, as the week goes on, people have their bottles and usually stop running after more. From Saturday, they said that there were 270 cases making it to distro, that is 3,200+ bottles.. IF each store gets 2 cases, that is 135 stores. The nice thing about Rum King is that it will be on tap. Kind of like Darkness. Indeed seems to do a great job of that.

 

I have to wonder if Rochester will see any...

 

Called SAV, and was told they would be getting theirs in... (drumroll please) Thursday.

 

Indeed said that bottle shops would be getting some in, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday depending on location

 

are they out at the taproom?

I like to keep things communal here. I will post this again in like a week, but if anyone gets shut out of a bottle, PM me. My wife and I got 4 and I will be happy to hook someone up with one that didn't get one.

 

Soooo....anyone cracked one open yet? Thoughts?

 

Haven't cracked any open yet, but had it Hullabaloo Day. I think it was super delicious. I heard people from ABV mentioning it was hot, but I don't think it was.

I look forward to it being all over the Twin Cities on tap and plan to drink as much as possible.

 

Will be hitting up the Tap Room right after work. Hopefully able to grab some then. Any idea how much they might have there? Know it was still selling at the end of the weekend festivities, so I have to think a decent amount.

 

I hope so, otherwise it will be another year that I don't get to try any! My wife is going up for the MEA conferences tomorrow and Friday...might have to see if she can hunt me down a bottle.

 

I heard they did 360 cases - 250 are going into distro. So, 100+ cases for sale at the brewery, apparently they still had some as of yesterday.

Also, it landed at South Lyndale this morning, looked like they had 3 cases, 1 bottle limit.

For the record, I read between the lines incorrectly yesterday. Stinson got theirs this morning, limit 2, and I have no idea if it's all gone or not. I apologize to anyone who went there yesterday on my incorrect assumption, and was disappointed.
