I know on BA it's pretty easy to get caught up in the various new items coming out but has anyone had any Great Divide Rumble lately? When it first came out a couple years ago I thought it was okay, but I find myself borderline addicted to the stuff this year. While not much of an IPA, it's almost like a "baby" oak aged barleywine. Ignore the style listing and give it a go, even if you've had it before. If not, I might end up buying it all up...
I just saw it on the shelves tonight and really took notice for the first time. Was very interested but didn't pull the trigger. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll be picking it up next time I'm buying!
It's an excellent brew but I truly enjoy the anniversary from GD... They should make it a year round..
Could not agree with this more. SO smooth and velvety and great wood characteristics, like a sessionable barleywine, if that even exists. Such a unique and delicious beer and great for every season. My dad bought a 6-pack a couple weeks ago and he ended up only being able to drink 2 of them
Rumble is right up there with Odell St. Lupulin & Mountain Standard & Imperial Pilsner in terms of being the most underrated beers, they are some of my favorite CO seasonals. Although I have to admit with it being cooler out I'm getting pretty psyched for Hibernation.
Deserved props to Rumble...I really caught onto it last year and I agree it's mighty tasty this year too
Enjoyed a pint of Rumble and a toasted sandwich at Cheeba hut today Not my favorite brewery but it was beyond enjoyable. Really was perfect today.
Hmmm....may have to revisit this one. Tasted like wood to me a couple of years ago EDIT: Oh, and sorry I left a half of Oktoberfest undrank the other night. Spanking is in order
I drank a whole lot of Rumble last year. I've only had a couple six packs so far this year, but those will multiply soon enough. Really love this beer! Also does anyone else make an oaked IPA that's available here?
Nope! That's the beauty of Rumble. I agree with all assessments here. Rumble is a staple for me, but I do wish it was a fall or winter seasonal - cant drink a ton of the stuff.
I couldn't agree more. When it first came out a couple years back I wasn't too impressed by this year I can't get enough. I just assumed my pallet had changed, for the better in this case.
I always wait to pick this one up (for whatever reason) but enjoy it when I finally do get around to it. I'll have to sneak some in between a Hoss.
I feel the same way about this beer. I just had to go out and get another 6er. It tastes pretty good after a Titan too.
