I couldn't find any confirmation, but I heard from two different stores that Avery is pulling out of MN. Thoughts?

I hate to see any brewery pull out but I guess I haven't given them any of my dollars in a while. They make some solid beers but not a ton that sticks out in this increasingly crowded market.

Since we don't get the sours or uncle Jacob's, doesn't bother me. Not a big fan of most of their stuff outside those.

Meh....it is good beer, but I only buy one czar and one Kaiser a year. All long as O'Dell stays, I'm cool

Avery is awesome. This would be a damn shame. Their line of bombers are both fairly priced and delicious. I would hate to lose access to Hog Heaven, Czar, Salvation, etc. Those brews can hang with the best of them.

And I'm sorry to add on to the pile of rumors, but a little birdie at Haskell's told me that Shelton Bros is likely withdrawing from MN as well due to a shift in distro... which would be even more of a drag if you ask me.

I'll miss the Kaiser and I'll miss Old jubilation but otherwise I don't think I'll miss a beat

Did Lifeofbrian put you up to this? It's a shame to lose any good brewery's distribution, but I honestly can't recall the last time I bought one of their beers at a retail outlet. I wish them well where ever their beer ends up.

No, I wish he had. Besides, if he did, I would have stated it as pure fact.

I heard it from the beer manager at one store and a trustworthy source at another.

I heard quite opposite fairly recently, from a source close to Chisago Lakes. The relationship is now better than it has been for years. I don't know if you've noticed, but we've been seeing a lot more form Shelton Bros and a lot more frequently.

Very glad to hear this. I was hoping that wasn't the case.

Too bad it wasn't Breckenridge. But seriously, it's probably a win-win for everyone. More shelf space here for expanding MN breweries like Indeed, and Avery is better able to supply more beer-deprived locations.

Oh, no. You fail. The correct answer is if he had you would have also included that New Glarus was coming into the state. Better luck next time.

I can only say that I have heard from multiple sources above me that Avery is leaving. If it is in fact truth, then here is to a great run...

Always seemed that they made slightly better then average beers for a price that was over the top. Sad to see them go but I wont be missing their products.
