Now I know why it cost so much...definitely worth it.

I actually paid $11 for a can on Saturday. I never do that. I can't wait to drink it though, either New Years Eve or my birthday, which is soon.

Where was it $11 a can?

Ugghh 11? Wow. OTOH I think you might agree when you taste it that it is at least as good as any beer you have tried at that, or higher, price per oz,.

Hoptron Brewtique. I was having lunch nearby and stopped in for a second.

That's kinda how I justified it, in my head at least. I'd seen the raves about it here and figured it's only 6oz short of a bomber so, why not just one can? I paid $14 for a stovepipe can of BA Ten Fidy.

It was $7 a can at the brewery so $4 more to save the gas was the right call. How many cans did Hoptron Brewtique have left of each?

They had a few more cans out of the Duckburgh in the fridge. They might have had more in the back but I didn't ask. I'm not sure what the other can you're talking about is.

The BA Ten Fidy you also bought. I assume it was the same situation as the Duckburgh.

Oh, I got two of those last month. Not from there but from more traditional distro spots more local to me. I was using the $14 price tag on the stovepipe can (19oz) to justify my Duckburgh (16oz) $11 pricetag.

Pretty sure it didn't. Likely hand carried down.

Agreed. The two breweries themselves had only 20 cases each before they sold out.

My advice: try the Ded Moroz Maple and Orange at Duck In. It's great! I'm sorry I didn't bring home a growler. It literally would be good poured over pancakes.

New beer coming out in cans on Wednesday 1/31! Punk Rock Freak Show is a Belgian Strong Ale that we boiled for 12 hours to create intense notes of brown sugar and molasses. We then added Ethopian Sidamo coffee roasted by @doyoujavalove which has flavors of dark cherry, honey, and chocolate to complement the Belgian yeast strain 8.2%. War Elephant and Southern Hemisphere Divided By Zero will also be in cans on Wednesday at 4.

Punk Rock Freak Show really is a fine Belgian Strong Ale. Rushing Duck's really good at brewing Belgian beers. Everything they do is first rate!
