cracked open a 32oz fresh growler of their War Elephant DIPA last night, which was AMAZING. I see that not many people have tried RD's offerings...they should!

I saw it on tap at Gunk House in Ulster County and passed on it. Regretted it the minute I saw this. The name alone makes it sound amazing.

Thanks for the report- I'm going to have to keep an eye out for that one.

I mentioned in the other thread, but I'll put it here as well in case anybody is in the area. Cable Beverages, in Nanuet, has been carrying Rushing Duck for growler sales. They had the Coffee Porter the last time I was in there, and had War Elephant before that. It's a good way to support this new brewery without having to head up to the Catckills.

I cracked and finished my 32 oz. growler on Saturday and yes, it was quite enjoyable. I've also had their Naysayer Pale ale and it was also quite enjoyable.

DeCicco's Brester has their stuff on pretty regularly. Really like the Beanhed Coffee Porter.

I'm the brewer/owner of Rushing Duck. Just stumbled upon this thread, so I thought I'd say thanks for the kind words. We're gonna try to keep up the good work.

JC88 - We're working on a Stout, well an Imperial Stout anyway. It'll be our Winter release. We're also working on adding a 7.3% malty, sorta Wee Heavyish type beer to our year-round line up, and we have an English Barleywine aging in Bourbon barrles right now.

You just have to get your stuff on tap at Benji and Jakes in Bethel. I'm only up there a couple of times a year, but that would totally rock! And I'm sure it would go really great with the vibe in that place. Until then, the guys at Cable Beverages seem to be supportive of what you're doing, and I can easily get my growlers filled there. Here's wishing you guys the best!

We're working on heading out that way. I'd love to have our beer on tap at Benji and Jake's especially considering that the coffee roaster right across the street from them, Java Love, is where we get our coffee roasted for Beanhead.

War Elephant is tasty stuff. I'm a regular at copper mine so i talk to nikki about your brewery every chance i get. you guys are doing a great job up there. Had a couple sips of my friend's naysayer pale and really enjoyed that too. good luck with everything and i wish it was easier to register and sell your stuff in jersey.

Heads up- War Elephant Batch #2 is now available for growler sales at Cable Beverages in Rockland County. Smells amazing, I'm looking forward to actually drinking it tonight.
